Job Description

Nadi Home Services is assisting a client in hiring a dedicated and energetic Waiter/Waitress for a hotel in Nairobi. The ideal candidate should be customer-friendly, hardworking, and able to handle multiple tasks, including serving guests, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive early (6:00 AM) to prepare the restaurant for the day’s operations.
• Call and invite clients to visit the restaurant.
• Greet and welcome guests professionally, ensuring they feel comfortable.
• Take customer orders and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Provide menu recommendations and answer any customer inquiries.
• Ensure tables and dining areas are clean, well-arranged, and properly set before and after meals.
• Clean the restaurant, including floors, tables, and common areas, to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
• Process bills, handle cash/card payments, and issue receipts.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to handle cleaning duties.
• Punctual, reliable, and committed to early morning shifts.
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
